Set Up (Prior to Round)

To get registered for cashless payments:

  1. Go to your Handicaddie: Caddie Companion App. You will see a blue box at the top prompting you’re to set up cashless payments.
  2. Click on this which will redirect you to a sign up form.
  3. Once you’ve filled out your details, you will be redirected to Stripe. Stripe is the tool we use in the app to process the golfers payments, you will be asked to fill out your details.
  4. Once you’ve completed this process, please return to the app. You’ll see an image like this pop up.

Taking a Payment (POST ROUND)

  1. Open up your QR code for the golfer to scan.
  2. Golfer scans, registers their email address and pays.
  3. You’ll receive your first notification immediately. This confirms the player has completed checkout and your payment is on its way to your bank account.
  4. You’ll receive your second notification once the funds have landed in your bank account. This usually happens within 30 minutes. If your bank doesn’t support instant payments, it can take up to 2/3 business days.

Q: Are there any fees deducted from my earnings?

You will receive the full amount your player enters. Handicaddie covers all platform and processing costs by adding a service fee on top. For example, if your player enters ÂŁ100, the total charged to their card is ÂŁ109.

Q: How much will the player pay?

The player has full control over the amount they enter, and your rate isn’t displayed in the app so always tell your player your rate before they pay. If they’d like to leave a tip, they can simply enter a higher amount.

Q: What currency will I receive payments in?

Payments are made in your account’s default currency, which is fixed when you sign up and based on your country. Your player will pay you in your account’s currency. A UK-based caddie will always receive £, and a US-based caddie will always receive $.

Q: What if I’ve never had issues with cash?
